2026.

The year marks the 25th anniversary of this very website. Well, the spark of the idea that would evolve into Residentclubber started way back in 2001, on a night out clubbing in Birmingham.

I've already made a blog post about that 'fateful' night at Godskitchen - you can read that blog post here - and it really did change everything!

From experiencing the best in dance music, being played by the biggest DJ's, and surrounded by like minded clubbers with no attitude other than getting down and hot and sweaty on the dancefloor, it was inspiring enough to want to be a part of that scene, even in just some small way. So Residentclubber was born!

From initially just taking photos with friends on nights out, to getting the chance to put on events in local bars and clubs featuring the best in up and coming DJs, and eventually getting behind the decks myself, Residentclubber has been a lot of work at times, but ultimately, a whole lot of fun!

The website took a backseat around 2012 and went offline for a few years, but a couple of years ago, after catching the DJ bug again and with some pretty cool local events being put on, brought it back online again, and completely rebuilt from scratch.

So, fast forward to 2026, and Residentclubber is celebrating it's 25th anniversary! These days it's mostly a place for my 'Residentclubber Sessions' DJ mixes, and although I don't take photos as much as I used to, the occasional photo sets of club nights or road trips to Ibiza etc still appear on the website, but the archive of photos from 2001 - 2012, from nights out in Birmingham, Leamington Spa, Ibiza and more, are still on there to peruse.

Even after all these years, my zest for the music, the vibe and the dancefloor is still very much alive!

To celebrate the 25th anniversary, I've put up a few limited edition designs on my Threadless and Teepublic shops, which will only be available throughout 2026.

And hopefully to top it off, there'll be an opportunity to put on an event somewhere to celebrate.
